October is the best month to see the Westside
October is when these neighborhoods are at their most social: the school year is running, the leaves are turning, and the calendar fills with family events. Here is what we can verify for Halloween 2026 near Bethany and Oak Hills, with the same caveat we always add: annual event times and locations do change, so confirm with the organizer before you head out.
We have listed the events we could confirm against an organizer's own page this week. Where a date is not yet settled, we say so plainly rather than guess.
The Bethany Village Halloween Hunt
The anchor event right in the neighborhood is the Bethany Village Halloween Hunt: trick-or-treating through the village square at participating shops, free family fun hosted by Bethany Village. For 2026 the listing is 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, at Bethany Village Centre, 15160 NW Laidlaw Rd.
One honest note: the village's own page can lag with prior-year hours, so confirm on their Halloween page before you go. It is the easiest way to give kids a lively, walkable trick-or-treat right in the middle of Bethany.
Hoffman Farms' fall season, just down Scholls Ferry
For a bigger farm day, Hoffman Farms Store at 22242 SW Scholls Ferry Rd runs its fall season Wednesday through Sunday through October 29, 2026, with free entry and free parking, a corn maze and train rides on the Scholls Valley Railroad. It is a short drive from Bethany and Oak Hills and a favorite for families.
Hours and any special event nights can shift, so confirm on the farm's own page before you drive out. Pair it with a morning at the market and you have a full fall day.
Booverton downtown
Downtown Beaverton hosts Booverton, a family-friendly Halloween celebration with trick-or-treating at participating businesses, costumes, a costume contest and pumpkin activities. It is typically held in late October; the 2025 edition ran Sunday, October 26.
The 2026 date is now confirmed: Booverton runs Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in downtown Beaverton, with trick-or-treating at participating businesses, costumes and kid-friendly activities hosted by the Beaverton Downtown Association. As always, confirm on their events page before you go, but this year's date is set.
Neighborhood trick-or-treating
For many families the real event is the street itself. Bethany's newer planned neighborhoods were built for walkability, with sidewalks and close-set homes, and Oak Hills' tree-lined streets and community-minded feel make for a lively evening.
Ask neighbors about the typical trick-or-treat hours on your street, and check the Oak Hills HOA calendar for any neighborhood gatherings. The community spirit is one of the things people love most about living here.
Fold a fall visit into your home search
October is a great time to see the corridor because you see it in action: streets full of families, schools running and the community calendar in full swing. If you are considering a move, an October visit shows you the neighborhood at its most social.
Tell us what you are looking for and we can plan a tour around an event, so you experience the neighborhood the way residents actually do.
Confirm before you go
Everything above reflects organizers' published listings as of early October 2026. Annual event times and locations change, so confirm with the organizer's own page before heading out.
If you spot a listing that is out of date, tell us and we will fix it. We keep this calendar and blog updated as the season goes on.
