Halloween Weekend 2026: A Family Guide for Bethany and Beaverton

2026-10-23 5 min read Paul Knighton & Chris Hayes

The short version

Halloween weekend is here, and the corridor's calendar is full of verified, family-friendly plans from Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1. This guide pulls the confirmed events together in one place, with times and locations straight from the organizers.

As always on this site, we only list what we could confirm against an organizer's own page this week, and where details could change we say so plainly. Confirm before you head out, especially for the village and downtown events.

Saturday, October 31: the family day

Halloween day starts gently. The Beaverton Farmers Market is open its usual 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on SW Hall Blvd and holds Halloween at the market on this Saturday, with trick-or-treating and costume fun in the market's Halloween tent. Then the library's free Kids Costume Parade runs 11:00 a.m. to noon at the Murray Scholls Branch for kids ages 2 to 8, a parade around the library to Halloween music.

In the afternoon, the Bethany Village Halloween Hunt brings trick-or-treating through the village square from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., right in the middle of Bethany. That leaves the evening free for neighborhood trick-or-treating on your own street.

Families with younger kids will like that the weekend's biggest events land during daylight hours.

Friday evening: music and lights

For a night out before the big day, The Reser presents The American Story Live: 250 Years of Becoming on Friday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m., a live stage presentation on the eve of Halloween. Downtown, Syndicate Wine Bar hosts its adult Halloween party Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

And if wildlife filmmaking is more your pace, National Geographic Live: Wild Wolves of Yellowstone plays The Reser on Thursday, October 29 at 7:30 p.m., a great warm-up night.

Saturday night: an adults' evening

After the candy runs are done, The Reser hosts Liberace and Liza: The Cedar Hills Have Eyes at 7:30 p.m. on Halloween night, a playful tribute show that has become a local tradition for grown-ups in the corridor. Tickets and showtimes are on The Reser's page.

It is a short, easy drive from Bethany and Oak Hills down Cedar Hills or Murray Boulevard, with parking around the center.

Sunday, November 1: Día de los Muertos and the clock change

The weekend closes with the Beaverton City Library's Día de los Muertos celebration at the Main branch from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.: an all-ages event where neighbors contribute to a community art piece and take home a craft kit. It is free, meaningful and close to home.

Note the practical detail: daylight saving time ends at 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning, so clocks fall back an hour. The extra hour is a good reason to linger at the library or on a neighborhood walk.

The week around it

The weekend sits inside a busy stretch. Booverton, the big downtown family celebration, was October 25, and the farmers market's final Saturdays run through November 21. The Oak Hills Tim Tank Turkey Trot is already set for Thanksgiving morning, November 26 at 8:00 a.m.

Our community calendar lists all of these and more, with organizer links and honest notes on anything that can shift.

Practical notes, honestly

A few reminders we give neighbors every year: confirm event times on the organizer's page before you go, especially for the village and downtown events; drive slowly through neighborhoods on Halloween evening; and bring a pumpkin or a costume where a listing mentions one.

If you are new to the area or weighing a move, Halloween is actually a lovely window into how a neighborhood lives. Ask us anything about Bethany and Oak Hills, and we will tell you straight.
